Artingstall Opticians is an independently run practice that has been proudly serving the Hyde community for almost 60 years.

We believe in combining the personal touch of independent care with the standards of modern clinical excellence.

Since Paul took ownership in 2018, the practice has continually evolved — investing in advanced technology and broadening its clinical services.

Our Mission, Purpose & Ethics Statement

  • At Artingstall Opticians your experience in the sight test will be like no other. The consultation is more than just a professional looking at your eyes, it is also informative as almost everything that the examiner can see, can be photographed and shown to you, (unless you don’t like to look at them!) This means that everyone who comes for a test with us leaves more informed about their eye and overall health.

  • The purpose of the sight test prioritises the following:

    • To detect sight and life threatening conditions

    • Advise on ways to reduce lifetime risk factors for future health and vision

    • Improve ocular comfort

    • Maximise visual performance

  • At our practice, we believe that true quality means doing the right thing—even when no one is watching.
